Anixter Center
operates a variety of employment training and job placement programs. We strive to find the right program or job
for each person we serve. Everyone is treated as an individual and
given personal attention. We work with employers to help them
understand and respond to the needs of persons with disabilities.

Opportunities
Delivers a broad choice of vocational and employment services to
assist people with disabilities to find and keep jobs in the community. Programming
includes educational classes that discuss assimilation into workplace culture, job
performance and development of coworker relationships. Also offers opportunities for
individuals who have a degree, advanced training or technical skills on a professional

Professional Placement Program
Links people with disabilities to high-tech or
other professional level jobs in the Chicago metro area. Works with employers who are
often eager to locate qualified candidates with disabilities but have difficulty locating
them using their traditional recruitment methods. Anixter Center staff assists people with

Center Court Grille
In collaboration with the Illinois Department of Transportation
(IDOT) and the Illinois Department of Human Services/Division of Rehabilitation Services,
Anixter Center operates a food service on-the-job evaluation program that also functions

New Focus
A community reintegration program that provides comprehensive
rehabilitation to adults with brain injuries. Services include physical, occupational and
speech therapies, cognitive retraining, psychological and vocational counseling, case
management, job placement, therapeutic recreation and expressive therapy.
