If you can read this, you can help somebody who can’t.

The literacy program at Anixter Center, a Chicago-based  human service agency, is accepting applications from tutors who can devote one hour a week to teaching literacy skills to people with disabilities.

Volunteers must be able to demonstrate the ability to read and write and must have an interest in working with people with disabilities. One-on-one and group tutoring sessions are available during the day Monday through Friday.

For more information, call the literacy volunteer coordinator at
(773) 929-8200 x227.
