More than 120 golfers participated in the Lester J. Anixter Memorial Golf Outing on June 28 at The Glen Club in Glenview. The proceeds from the outing benefit children with disabilities served through Anixter Center and its divisions – the National Lekotek Center, Chicago Hearing Society and CALOR. The L & R Anixter Foundation was the lead sponsor for the event, which raised more than $114,000 for the thousands of children served at Anixter Center’s locations in the Chicago area.

“I know Lester would be so thrilled to see this great turnout for this outing today,” said Midge Anixter, widow of Lester J. Anixter.

The foursome of Jim Connors, Don Hogan, Jim Sasek and Mitch White captured first place at the outing, netting a two-stroke victory in a best ball format.
