I am honored to be Anixter Center’s new President & CEO. For almost 100 years, Anixter Center has made a true difference in the lives of others. I am proud to have the opportunity to expand on that wonderful legacy as we look to our next 100 years of service. Anixter Center and its three divisions—CALOR, Chicago Hearing Society and Lekotek—have a rich history of reaching out and serving people in need. People with disabilities and related challenges of all ages and from all walks of life access our services, and it is our privilege to support them as they pursue their goals to live full lives in the community.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the good fortune to travel the country and abroad, advocating for those with disabilities and focusing on promoting inclusion and empowerment for all. Those are themes that resonate with me, and I want to instill them in the fabric of everything we do here. In the coming months and years, we will continue to push for all abilities to be involved in every aspect of society.
We have accomplished much but there is still much to do to ensure that everyone in society has the opportunity for quality of life—whether it is enjoying a show at the theater, having a safe place to live, learning a new skill or finding a job. As the new leader of Anixter Center, I look forward to working with everyone in and outside of this great organization to achieve those goals one individual client at a time.
