An annual tradition helps families affected by HIV/AIDS to “keep the faith” and acknowledge both loved ones who have died of AIDS and pioneers who have paved the way for developments of lifesaving medications and treatments

Individuals with HIV/AIDS and their families and friends who receive health-related services through CALOR, a division of Anixter Center that specializes in serving people with disabilities in Chicago ’s Latino community. Many of the event attendees participate in CALOR’s support groups for people with HIV/AIDS.

BACKGROUND Initiated in 1999, this annual event represents a “spiritual component” of the battle against HIV/AIDS, according to Martín González Rojas, manager of Prevention Services at CALOR.
