QIDP Training

The Department of Human Services has mandated this 40-hour Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) training as a requirement for all QIDPs. Anixter Center's course meets the DHS standards of instruction. Anyone is welcome to participate, however certain criteria need to be met in order to become a QIDP. Please contact DHS prior to registering to ensure training participant meets qualifications.

  • Leadership and Communication
  • Quality Outcomes
  • Planning, Record Keeping
  • Community Resources
  • Health and Safety
  • Medical Issues
  • Rules and Regulations

The next course is scheduled to meet every Tuesday, 9am-1:30pm, beginning March 1, 2016 and the final class will meet on April 26, 2016. Classes will be held at 2032 N Clybourn Ave in Chicago (click here for map/directions).

The fee for the complete 40 hours of instruction is $750. Upon completion of the 40 hour training, Anixter Center Training Institute will provide the participant with a certificate of completion.
